What the service provides
ImageOptimise provides browser-based tools for tasks that may include image compression, conversion, resizing, cropping, watermarking, target-size preparation, social media artwork and email image preparation.
Available tools, supported formats, batch limits, file-size limits and individual settings can change. Unless otherwise stated, images are processed inside your browser rather than uploaded to an ImageOptimise image-processing server.
Permitted use
You may use the tools for lawful personal, professional or business tasks involving images and other material you own or have permission to process. You are responsible for checking that your use respects copyright, confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property and any applicable third-party rights.
Your images and output ownership
You retain your existing rights in the images, artwork and other material you choose to process. ImageOptimise does not claim ownership of your original files or downloaded outputs simply because you used the website.
Any third-party rights that apply to a source image, logo, watermark or brand asset continue to apply after processing. Downloading an altered image does not create permission to use material that you did not have the right to use originally.
Prohibited activities
You must not use the website to process illegal, abusive, harmful, infringing or malicious material, or attempt to interfere with the website or another person's use of it.
Activities such as abusive automated requests, unauthorised scraping, attempts to bypass reasonable security controls, deliberate service disruption or misuse of the website's branding and intellectual property are not permitted. Nothing in these terms restricts rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
Processing limits and device resources
Tools may apply limits to the number of images, supported formats, image dimensions and individual file sizes. Browser-based processing uses your own device's memory, processor and browser capabilities, so larger batches or detailed images may require additional time or resources.
You are responsible for choosing a suitable device and browser and for avoiding tasks that exceed your available resources.
Results and file quality
Compression savings, output size, visual quality and processing time depend on the original image, selected settings, output format and browser. Some files are already efficiently encoded, and a specific file-size reduction, quality level or platform outcome cannot be guaranteed.

Your responsibility for original files
Keep appropriate backups of original files. Open and inspect each downloaded output before replacing a source file, publishing an image, sending an email campaign or relying on the result for an important commercial purpose.
Website ownership and branding
The ImageOptimise name, visual identity, website design, original guides, original software and other website materials belong to their respective rights holders. Accessing the service does not transfer ownership of those materials or grant permission to copy the website's branding or present the service as your own.
Availability and changes
We may update, change, pause or remove features for maintenance, security, operational or development reasons. We cannot guarantee that every tool will remain available without interruption or work identically across every browser, device or operating system.
Third-party services and references
Our guides and tools may refer to email clients, social media platforms, marketing platforms and other third-party services for practical educational purposes. References do not imply endorsement, partnership, integration or official affiliation unless explicitly stated.
Legal rights and reasonable limitations
