ImageOptimise.com provides online image tools and practical image-preparation guides for visitors worldwide. For privacy questions, consent enquiries or applicable data-rights requests, contact info@imageoptimise.com.
Your images stay inside your browser
Supported image compression, conversion, resizing, cropping, watermarking and email or social media preparation take place within the active browser tab. ImageOptimise does not operate an image-processing endpoint that receives your selected files, filenames or processing jobs.
Original files, preview images and generated outputs remain temporarily in browser memory. Using Clear All removes the current batch from the page. Refreshing or closing the tab ends that temporary processing session. Downloaded files are saved only to the location selected by you or your browser.
Separate browser sessions
Every tab manages its own image-processing session. Files selected in one tab are not intentionally shared with another tab, another browser or another device using the same internet connection.
Anyone with access to your device, browser session or downloaded files may still be able to view them. Avoid processing confidential material on shared or untrusted devices.
Website requests and operational information
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information when a page or asset is accessed. Depending on the request, this may include an IP address, requested address, browser type, device information, referral information, date and time.
This information supports website delivery, security monitoring, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and service reliability. It is separate from the image-processing work carried out inside your browser. Where personal data is involved, these operational activities are generally based on the legitimate interests of maintaining a secure and functioning website.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics may collect information about pages visited, approximate device and browser characteristics, general engagement and how visitors move around the website. This helps us understand which tools and guides are useful.
Google Analytics is loaded only after you allow optional analytics. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google advertising signals are not enabled by our current analytics configuration. Processing for optional analytics is based on your consent.
Optional Microsoft Clarity
With your permission, Microsoft Clarity may analyse interactions such as page visits, clicks, scrolling and navigation. It can also create session recordings that help us identify usability problems.
Image-processing workspaces are explicitly marked for Clarity masking so filenames, image previews, generated outputs and other content inside those areas are hidden from session recordings. Clarity is not loaded unless you allow optional analytics, and advertising-related consent is not granted by our current configuration.
Information shared with service providers
Website infrastructure may be provided by hosting or security suppliers. If you accept optional analytics, relevant website interaction information may also be processed by Google and Microsoft. These providers operate under their own service and privacy terms.
International processing
Hosting, analytics or technology providers may process website information in countries outside your own. Where international data-transfer rules apply, the relevant provider's contractual terms, recognised transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards should apply to that processing.
How long information is retained
Image-processing batches exist only for the active browser session unless you download an output. Hosting and security information is kept according to the relevant provider's operational retention practices and only for as long as reasonably needed for legitimate service, security or legal purposes.
Google Analytics information follows the retention settings configured for the analytics property. Microsoft Clarity generally retains session recordings for 30 days, although recordings specifically favourited or selected by the service may be retained for up to nine months. If you email us, correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to address the enquiry, maintain appropriate records or meet applicable obligations.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location and the relevant circumstances, you may have the right to request access to personal information, ask for correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, request a portable copy of eligible information, or withdraw consent where processing depends on it.
You can decline optional analytics without losing access to our image tools. You can also withdraw or change your choice at any time through the Cookie Policy. To submit a privacy request, email info@imageoptimise.com. You may also contact the data-protection authority responsible for your location where applicable.
Advertising and additional tracking
Advertising networks, advertising cookies and Meta Pixel are not enabled in the current release. If advertising or additional tracking technology is introduced, this policy and the relevant consent controls will be reviewed before that technology is activated.

We may update this policy when our tools, analytics services, legal requirements or privacy practices change. The review date below identifies when this version was last checked.
